jessica Care moore is a Detroit-based poet, writer, performance artist and founder of Moore Black Press and the literacy-driven Jess Care Moore Foundation as well as an executive producer of Black WOMEN Rock!. Her art performances, books and business always deal with black movements, rights for black women and human connections.
What message do you want to share at re:publica Detroit?
The black imagination is vast and fearless. Detroit is the historical center of so many movements, and art is the most authentic language to communicate with ourselves and the world. We are not ghosts.
In one word, what does access mean to you?
Ownership.

The beautiful, necessary human connections we can only sometimes discover through the honest beauty of art.
