I'm an award-winning photographer from American Samoa, living in Detroit. My primary focus is on ethnographic visual storytelling. I document under represented communities with a deep interest in regional history and displacement caused by gentrification. I’m a Fulbright Fellow, and National Geographic Explorer. I’ve completed artist residencies in the UK, Czech Republic, Estonia, and Lithuania. My art has been exhibited in juried shows in six countries, and is in the permanent collections of over eight museums and archives. I've led photography workshops in Prague, CZ; London, UK; Maui, USA; and Telluride, USA. I've presented at conferences for the US Embassy in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan; the American Association for the Advancement of Science, Pacific Division in Hawaii, and the University of Cumbria, UK. My photos have been published in The New York Times, The Guardian, HuffPost, Lonely Planet, and L’Oeil de la Photographie and on-air interviews on BBC Radio, Now This, PIX11 News, and more.
