Shifting the Narrative on Access to Water

Short thesis

The panel discussion aims to identify racial, environmental and legal implications of a public health crisis around water.

Description

The panel discussion aims to identify racial, environmental and legal implications of a public health crisis around water. With a focus on Detroit, experts including Monica Lewis-Patrick, Hon. JoAnn Watson, Dr. Peter Hammer, Bryce Detroit, Tawana Petty and William Copeland will explore the narrative around access to water, one, if not the most fundamental human right. The panel discussion aims to tackle questions around government failure, accountability, and structural racism.

This session is followed by an Action Roundtable in Room 2.
